Victim Assistance Program
What is a Victim Assistance Program?
On Haida Gwaii the Victim Assistance Program (VAP) is an Island Women Society Program that provides help to any resident of the Queen Charlottes Islands who has been a victim of crime.
Staff experienced in assisting victims of sexual assault, child sexual abuse, and domestic violence are available for the special emotional and practical support that is needed. Staff can help you to find a safe place to stay, help you create a safety plan, and/or refer you to appropriate counselling services.
